Introduction to Data Science
28-30 November 2018, Malmö, Sweden
This three day course is the perfect introduction to data science for those wishing to get into the field. We will cover topics in data exploration, machine learning, statistics and experimental methods. The format of the course will be lectures and workshops so that you will get the chance to try out everything you learn! Each day we’ll focus on a new case study to apply your knowledge in different contexts.
This course is intended to give you the skills you will need to get started with data science and machine learning. The course will be taught in Python and English.
At the end of the course you should be familiar with:
• Data exploration and visualisation
• Machine learning
• Statistical methods for data science
The course will run on the 28, 29 and 30 November 2018, 9am to 5pm each day. The location of the course will be:

Format of Course
This course is meant for those new to, or with very little experience of data science. We will be using Python throughout the course and it is suggested that you have experience using Python - we have courses in scientific Python for example here.
